Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

Bishop Gloster and I are working on a letter to you and the people of the diocese that will offer some extended reflections on the work of the 74th General Convention of our church. This letter is to alert you of forthcoming opportunities for conversation around the many actions of General Convention on a variety of issues. The deputies and bishops will hold three gatherings for people of the diocese on the following dates:

Tuesday September 2 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Raleigh, Christ Church
Wednesday September 3 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Greensboro, St. Andrew's
Monday September 8 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Charlotte, St. Peter's

Enclosed you will find two of the sermons preached at the convention focusing on the transforming power of reconciliation and love of God that we know in Jesus Christ., May God bless and keep you, and the people of our diocese and church.
